A handheld saw with a diamond cutting ring, driven around its rim.
The drive arrangement allows more of the cutting ring to enter the concrete than a conventional centre-mounted disc. The usable depth still depends on the selected machine, material and access. A ring saw follows straight cut lines; its round blade does not make it a tool for drilling round holes.

01How deep can a ring saw cut?
There is no single depth for every ring saw. Capacity depends on the machine and cutting ring, as well as access and the concrete. Send the thickness and photos so Sirius can assess a suitable approach rather than assuming a quoted maximum will suit your site.
02Does ring sawing leave square internal corners?
A circular cutting ring does not automatically finish an internal corner without extending the cut. If overcutting is restricted, mark that on the drawing and agree how the corners will be finished before cutting.
03Can a ring saw make a round hole?
Ring refers to the cutting blade, not the shape of the hole. Ring sawing follows straight cut lines. For a round penetration, discuss core drilling and provide the required diameter and location.
04Does the quote include removing the cut concrete?
Confirm the scope. Cutting, temporary support, lifting, removal, disposal and making good need to be allocated. Show how the cut section can leave the work area and ask what is included.
