Can drilling and floor preparation be planned together?

Yes, describe the complete sequence when you enquire. A renovation might need a round waste opening, removal of a small slab section and preparation of the retained floor. The next trade's requirements determine the opening dimensions and the condition the surface must reach.

Before choosing a finish, explain whether the area is a garage, workshop or occupied internal room. Epoxy flooring and flake flooring need a separate discussion about the existing substrate and intended use. A freshly cut edge is not automatically a coating-ready surface.

Flag any suspected reinforcement, service routes or post-tensioning. Discuss concrete scanning before penetrating an uncertain slab. Detection information must be interpreted with the drawings and structural requirements; it is not permission to cut.

What is the cost of cutting concrete?

Send one wide photograph showing the approach, one close photograph of the marked work and dimensions with units. For an opening, state the finished size and what will pass through it. For preparation, give the approximate area and describe what is currently on the floor.

Include whether water and power are available, whether the room is occupied, and who controls access. Separate cutting from removal: say who will lift, load and dispose of the concrete. This prevents a price for one operation being mistaken for a complete removal service.
